Follow these steps and call us immediately:
If you're in pain or unsure whether something is urgent, call us. We'll help you figure out what's going on and get you in as quickly as possible. Acting sooner usually means simpler treatment and faster relief.
A dental emergency is any situation involving significant pain, bleeding, swelling, signs of infection, or trauma to the teeth, gums, or jaw. If a tooth has been knocked out, acting quickly gives you the best chance of saving it. A dental abscess with fever also needs prompt attention. If you're unsure, just call us โ we'll help you determine whether you need same-day care.
Call 911 for difficulty breathing, rapid swelling of the mouth or throat, or severe uncontrolled bleeding. For urgent tooth pain, a broken tooth, or a lost crown, call a dentist promptly. If our clinic is closed or unavailable, seek another urgent dental service or medical help as appropriate; do not wait for a website callback. See Alberta Health Services guidance on mouth and dental injuries and the ADA dental emergency guide.
Many emergencies can be avoided with regular checkups, wearing a sports guard during physical activity, and avoiding chewing on ice or hard objects. Treating cavities early prevents the infections and fractures that lead to urgent visits.
Call 780-942-4691 and describe what happened, when symptoms began, and whether you have swelling or bleeding. Calling helps the team advise you on the next step and confirm availability.
We aim to see urgent patients the same day during opening hours, subject to availability. Call before travelling. A website request does not reserve an emergency appointment.
The published emergency examination fee is $81.05. X-rays and treatment, if needed, may be additional. The team will explain the recommended care and estimate. See our fee guide.
Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, and Saturday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The clinic is closed Sundays; holiday hours may differ. Call to confirm availability.
