What is Invisalign?

Invisalign uses a series of custom-made, clear plastic aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. Nearly invisible and removable, Invisalign offers a modern alternative to traditional orthodontic treatment for both teens and adults.

Benefits of Invisalign

  • Virtually invisible - most people won't notice you're wearing them
  • Removable for eating, brushing, and special occasions
  • No metal brackets or wires to irritate your mouth
  • Fewer office visits compared to traditional braces
  • See your projected results before starting treatment
  • Effective for most orthodontic issues

The Invisalign Process

Your journey to a straighter smile is simple and predictable:

  1. Initial consultation and 3D digital scan of your teeth
  2. View your personalized treatment plan and projected results
  3. Receive your custom-made aligners
  4. Wear each set for 1-2 weeks, 20-22 hours per day
  5. Progress through your aligner series with periodic check-ins
  6. Enjoy your beautiful, straight smile!

Am I a Candidate?

Invisalign can treat most orthodontic concerns including crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites, and crossbites. We also offer orthodontics for teens. Schedule a consultation to find out if Invisalign is right for you.

How Long Does Invisalign Take?

Most patients complete Invisalign treatment in 12 to 18 months according to Invisalign, though mild cases can finish in as few as six months. Treatment length depends on the complexity of your case and how consistently you wear your aligners (20 to 22 hours per day is recommended). Check-up visits are typically every six to eight weeks.

Does Invisalign Hurt?

Most patients feel mild pressure when switching to a new set of aligners — this is a sign your teeth are moving. The pressure usually subsides within a day or two. Unlike traditional braces, there are no metal brackets or wires to irritate your cheeks and gums.

Do I Need a Retainer After Invisalign?

Yes. After completing your aligner series, you will need to wear a retainer — typically at night — to keep your teeth in their new position. Without a retainer, teeth can gradually shift back. We will provide a custom retainer as part of your treatment plan.

Cost & Insurance

Invisalign treatment costs depend on the complexity of your case and the number of aligners required. Mild cases may cost less than comprehensive treatment plans. We'll provide a detailed estimate during your initial consultation at Redwater Dental Clinic.
