Is IV Sedation Safe?

Sedation has risks and is not suitable for everyone. Your medical history, medications, and the planned dental procedure are assessed before it is offered. A qualified visiting sedation provider monitors you during treatment and will explain the risks, alternatives, and recovery requirements.

Will I Be Asleep?

The intended level of sedation and how much you remember depend on the medication and your individual response. Ask your sedation provider what to expect for your specific appointment.

How to Prepare & What to Expect After

Follow the written fasting and medication instructions given by your sedation provider; contact the clinic if anything is unclear. Arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home and stay with you.
