Dr. AJ (Akshat Jalota)

Dr. AJ took the long way to Redwater. He grew up in New Zealand, went to dental school in Australia, and eventually put down roots in small-town Alberta — where he now leads a clinic that has been looking after Redwater families since 1980. Patients often say he makes them feel heard: he takes the time to explain what he's found, what the options are, and what he'd honestly recommend — without rushing, without pressure, and without judgment.

Today, Dr. AJ has limited his practice to dental implants — implant placement, bone grafting, and implant-supported crowns and restorations. It's the discipline he has pursued hardest, with advanced surgical training at the GIDE Institute in Los Angeles, complemented by studies at The Dawson Academy in Florida for complex bite and aesthetic cases and King's College London for difficult root canals. Focusing on one thing means doing it exceptionally well — and it means Redwater-area patients can have a missing tooth replaced, start to finish, without ever driving to the city. He works with 3D Cone Beam imaging for precise surgical planning, and oral and IV sedation are available for patients who want extra comfort.

Day-to-day family care at the clinic is in exceptional hands. Dr. Khaleeq Panhwer — an honours graduate of the University of Queensland recognized among the top clinical students in his class — looks after everything from check-ups to cosmetic work, and is the clinic's Botox provider. Dr. Zee earned his DDS with first class honours and brings a strong focus on restorative, aesthetic, and surgical dentistry. Both are Edmonton-raised, both trained internationally, and both are welcoming new patients. The whole clinic shares Dr. AJ's whole-body approach, using biocompatible, mercury-free materials as standard.

When not at the clinic, Dr. AJ enjoys spending time with his fiancee and their two dogs, exploring the beautiful Alberta outdoors.
